Music Education Should Reflect the Industry Students Are Entering

Today's students are preparing for a music industry that extends far beyond the traditional stage. Careers in film scoring, game audio, music production, sound design, podcasting, content creation, and independent artistry require more than musical talent—they require collaboration, communication, adaptability, and creative problem-solving.

My classroom is built around those realities.

By combining authentic professional workflows with project-based learning, students learn to think like composers, producers, performers, and creative professionals while developing the confidence to pursue meaningful careers in music.
